Use of Lateral Flow Tests - Important information

21 May 2021 (by ADMIN (admin))

In line with NHS guidance, Lateral flow tests must not to be used for persons with possible symptoms. Please seek a PCR test if Covid-19 symptoms are displayed (a high temp, a new continuous cough or a loss/change to your sense of smell or taste).

The national guidance on symptomatic testing is very clear that anyone with symptoms (even if
they have completed a LFT test and the result is negative) and anyone they live with must
immediately self-isolate. They should not leave home except to post a test kit or to attend a PCR
test appointment.

Please contact the school to advise of symptoms, and date of PCR test, and continue to keep school updated with the results.

For further information, please refer to our school website (information, Coronavirus) which contains information and links to the current government/NHS guidance.
