Letter - Miss Prior 19.03.2020
19 March 2020 (by ADMIN (admin))
Dear Parents and Carers,
I am acutely aware that last night’s announcement will be causing considerable uncertainty and unease amongst our community, particularly in light of the lack of detail contained within the message. Headteachers are awaiting clarification and I can assure you that I am determined to establish a clearer picture of the way forward, as soon as possible, and of course, I shall communicate this to our families as soon as I am able.
In the meantime, can I please ask that if you feel you are potentially in a key worker role and have a child who will need to access school, that you email the office at the usual email address (email@example.com) with details of your role and your child’s name. School will collate the details and liaise with the Local Authority and DfE regarding the arrangements.
For the majority of our children, it appears that school will close from Friday. My staff will finalise the pre-prepared learning contingency packs and these will be sent out with children by the end of the week. Further details regarding contact, communication and access will be forwarded in due course. For families whom are currently self-isolating, arrangements will be made to ensure you are able to receive your packs.
I anticipate that the next two days will be incredibly busy for all school staff as we prepare for this new situation, and I ask for your continued patience and understanding as we endeavour to establish the next steps for our whole school community. Thank you for your support during this difficult time for us all. I will be in touch again shortly.
