WELCOME TO WOODFIELD PRIMARY SCHOOL
We will be taking part in the national ‘Number Day’ on Friday 3 February 2023.
We are hosting a fun day of maths activities and we will be taking part in Dress up for Digits.
Pupils are asked to wear non-uniform with an item of clothing with a number on it (football shirt, cap, netball shirt or even a onesie). (If your child is taking part in P.E please ensure the clothing is suitable for this)
Children who are attending Outdoor Learning/Forest School should wear their usual outdoor clothing, but may wish to wear a badge/sticker with a number on.
To help raise money for the NSPCC, we are asking for donations - please send via your child's book bag. Thank you for your support.
Safer Internet Day is very nearly upon us, and this day is marked as a serious point in the safeguarding calendar. Making sure children and young people are aware of the dangers of the internet is more important than ever. We highly recommend watching this short film put together by the UK Safer Internet Centre - one and a half minutes highlighting why the day is important, and how awareness of internet dangers is vital to the lives of our children. To take a look please follow the link below:
In relation to the stranger danger alert from SCHS, the situation has been investigated and was found to be innocent. No children were in danger and no further action necessary. Thank you.
Fit2Play are holding a sports camp at Woodfield on Monday 20th and Tuesday 21st February (half term holiday). For further information or to reserve a place, please contact them directly using the details on photograph.
Please can children bring outdoor footwear, eg wellies, walking boots etc for outdoor learning or forest school sessions. Children will also need footwear to change into (ie school shoes or trainers (if a PE day) once they have completed their session.
