Coronavirus

 Advice for all parents/guardians

Urgent action to be taken by Parent/Carer if a PUPIL tests POSITIVE

In line with national guidance, if a pupil receives a positive Covid-19 test result, you must inform school immediately, either via phone on 01942 243675 or via enquiries@admin.woodfield.wigan.sch.uk

We also request you inform us if household member tests positive or your child is identified as a close contact of a positive case.

Parent reminder:

In accordance with NHS guidance, if anyone in your household is experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, they must isolate immediately and arrange to have a PCR test as soon as possible.

The three main symptoms are:

  • a high temperature – this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature)
  • a new, continuous cough – this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual)
  • a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste – this means you've noticed you cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal

In accordance with school procedure, please inform us of any symptomatic household member, that we may update our records.

Thank you for your co-operation in keeping our whole school community safe.
